How to get enough protein hiking as a vegan   IG @muddy_bootlaces  “Where do you get your protein from?” is a common question I am asked as a vegan, “you do all these long hikes, but your body must be struggling??! - If I’m honest, this was a concern of mine when I first started hiking as a vegan too. I'm a regular hiker/ wild camper/ YouTuber / Instagram poster (admittedly recently started).   My story begins with Covid 19 and the beginning of the lockdown. One path...

I love the beauty of what nature can deliver and seeing places that we don’t get chance to see everyday.    I first started walking a few years ago. I did little walks whether around a lake or towards a cave or along the beach. I then decided I wanted to do more, so after some research I found Hadrian’s Wall which is 84 Miles. With little experience for a big hike,...

Hello! I’m Matt, graphic designer, photographer, outdoors guide and journalist and I venture out across the country, no matter the weather leading individuals, groups or testing equipment for brands. So, I live a busy and varied lifestyle which all revolves around being creative and the outdoors.   For the last decade I have worked with the Scouts Organisation and Duke of Edinburgh Award as an outdoors leader. This has taken me across the country with the units, teaching them navigation, camp craft, cooking and equipment which has been incredibly fun and rewarding to help younger generations experience the outdoors, safely....
