Dandelion Leaf / Dandelion Root / Marigold / Nettle Leaf / Green Tea / Mint

Dandelion Leaf

The leaves of dandelion are mineral-rich. Dandelion is used to help the kidneys cleanse, and to regulate fluid balance. This cleansing action is used in the treatment of skin conditions such as acne, rosacea and eczema.

Dandelion Root

Preliminary research suggests that dandelion may help improve liver and gallbladder function. Increased liver function flushes toxins and excess water. Many teatoxes include dandelion because of its detoxing properties. Dr. Nesheiwat says it may actually aid in burning more fat. “It helps burn calories by increasing the process of breaking down the fat in the liver,” she says. Roots take longer to infuse than the leaves, so steeping this tea for slightly longer may be a good idea.

Nettle Leaf

Nettle Leaf is a great detoxifier. The consumption of nettle leaf has been found to reduce inflammation in the body and support the detoxification processes of the liver & kidneys. Nettle leaf is a great plant source of nutrients including chlorophyll, potassium, iron and magnesium. Nettle is high in nutrients including vitamins A, B, C and K. Nettle is traditionally used to strengthen the whole body by reducing inflammation, supporting liver detoxification, increasing circulation and improving immunity.

Marigold

According to Ayurvedic medicine, the flowers and leaves of marigold have anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, antimicrobial, and antiepileptic effects. Marigold tea can be consumed to nourish the skin, act as an internal anti-fungal agent and to soothe the intestinal tract. The tea is delicious and mildly detoxifying. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Marigold is considered energetically neutral and drying and is used to support healthy skin.

Mint

Mint has long been used in Chinese herbal medicine for its calming, relaxant, and antibacterial properties. It's gently detoxifying, treats digestive, skin, muscular disorders. Associated with the lung and liver meridians, and is thought to have pungent, aromatic and cooling properties. Mint is used to expel wind and heat, clear the head and eyes, clear the skin, and remove qi stagnation.

Green Tea

Green tea is used by traditional Chinese medicine practitioners to reduce heat, boost alertness, relieve headaches, helps to clear liver heat, relax the body and help digestion. Green tea can clear the mind, increase alertness, improve mood and relax your liver, thereby reducing stress.
