Pai Mu Tan White Tea / Nettle Leaf / Raspberry Leaf / Red Clover / Rosehip / Rose Petal

Nettle Leaf

Nettle Leaf is a great detoxifier. The consumption of nettle leaf has been found to reduce inflammation in the body and support the detoxification processes of the liver & kidneys. Nettle leaf is a great plant source of nutrients including chlorophyll, potassium, iron and magnesium. Nettle is high in nutrients including vitamins A, B, C and K. Nettle is traditionally used to strengthen the whole body by reducing inflammation, supporting liver detoxification, increasing circulation and improving immunity.

Red clover

Red Clover's main use is in detoxification. It's main actions are assisting the liver to rid the body of toxins. This quality makes Red clover very useful in promoting skin and hair health.

Rose petals

Rose is beautifully fragrant, packed with vitamin C and high in antioxidants. Rose adds a beautiful but subtle floral flavour.

Rosehip

Rosehip is very rich in vitamin C and vitamin A which are both supportive of the immune system. Rosehip is also high in antioxidants, which prevent cellular damage caused by oxidation.

Raspberry Leaf

Despite the name, the red raspberry leaf tea doesn’t taste like raspberries. It tastes like a common black tea. A good source of magnesium, calcium and antioxidants. Raspberry leaf has been recommended as a tonic to improve fat metabolism and encourage weight loss. It is often sold as a “detoxifying” supplement meant to improve body composition and overall health.

Pai Mu Tan

Pai Mu Tan is plucked from a special varietal tea bush called Narcissus or Chaicha bushes in the early morning mist, this white tea is truly one of china’s rarest and most famous teas. Pai mu Tan’s silver tips are full of antioxidants and polyphenols, resulting in a pale golden colour tea which is fresh, mellow and sweet tasting. Made from unopened buds picked with two or three tender young leaves. They range from white to light green and brown in colour. The pale yellow infusion has a soft, velvety flavour with a hint of nuttiness and a sweet aroma. The leaves are not steamed or pan-fired (the process usually used in green teas). The leaves are naturally withered and dried in the sun. Studies have shown white tea prevents the activities of the enzymes which breakdown elastin and collagen which can lead to wrinkles that accompany ageing. These enzymes, along with oxidants, are associated with inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis It can also relieve anxiety due to its abundance in L-theanine. This amino acid functions by promoting alpha brain waves, ultimately relaxing you without causing drowsiness. It also aids digestion, boosts immunity and reduces the risk of developing type-2 diabetes.
